Acoustic Guitar Club of Spring Hill
Acoustic Guitar Club of Spring Hill meets at 7pm the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month for a jam and song circle. All styles welcome at all skill levels. Join us and make some music. Info: Ken 684-6789 or Curt 666-3951.

The Creative Writers Guild is a newly formed organization that was created by people who love to write.  We invite you to come and be part of our group as a writer or one who wants to listen to stories and learn about writing.  It's all free.  Everyone's welcome.  Meetings are at the West Branch of the Spring Hill Library.  Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 10am to 12pm.  For info, contact Sue: 352-293-4988

Brooksville Garden Club Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, except June, July and August at 12:30 PM. All residents of Brooksville and surrounding areas are welcome.

Friends of Chinsegut Hill  is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the historic Chinsegut Hill plantation located north of Brooksville, Florida.  Contact Jan Knowles, President.

Friends of the Library Is an organization that accepts donations of books and sells them at very low prices to raise money for our Public Library System.  This wonderful group of volunteers is big on helping others and bringing culture to our community.   The Friends of the Library works out of "The Library Book Corner - Book Store"  is located at 1208 Kenlake Blvd., Spring Hill .  To become a volunteer or to buy books at reduced prices, call 684-0660.

Hernando Harmonizers - Guys, Come Sing with the Hernando Harmonizers Chorus ~ meets weekly on Monday evenings.  Doors open at 6:45 pm, singing starts at 7:00 pm at Nativity Lutheran Church's fellowship hall, 6363 Commercial Way (near the intersection of US 19 & Hwy 50). Hernando Hills Hi-Lites a chapter of Harmony, Inc. - Hernando Hills Hi-Lites is the only women’s barbershop chorus. They rehearse every Monday at 7pm at the Mariner United Methodist Church, 7079 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill. Women of all ages, race and creed are welcome to join the chorus in singing acapella-part harmony, barbershop-style. Moderate vocal aerobics and professional vocal techniques are taught to all who sing. For more information, call Tessie at 686-4122.

Hernando Jazz Society performs from 1:30 - 4:30pm on the second Sunday of the month September through April and on the third Sunday in May. The performances are conducted at the Wellington Clubhouse, 400 Wexford Blvd, Spring Hill. Dues are $50.00 per person and are payable on the 1st of September of each year. The Hernando Symphony Orchestra formed in 1982, the orchestra began performing publicly in 1983 and is now in its "25th season". The Orchestra has grown to over 65 members and has planned programs aimed at presenting musical enjoyment for all. A concert series of three performances is presented between the months of November and April each year. Ticket sales and contributions help support mission activities. Historic Hernando Preservation Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization made up of various groups and individuals interested in the various aspects of the 'historic' Hernando County which originally consisted of Hernando, Citrus and Pasco counties. It deals with historic architecture, archaeology, paleontology and all the many fields of history of the area. It meets on the first Thursday of every month in the Council Chambers of the Brooksville City Hall at 5.30 pm for both a business meeting and guest speaker. Hernando Youth Orchestra was founded 5 years ago to meet the community needs by providing an orchestra for young people of any age up to 18. The Opera Lovers Club meets the third Saturday of the month in the clubhouse of the Forest Glenn Retirement Community off of Osabaw Rd.(look for Forest Glenn sign). We are a group of opera lovers who want to learn more about opera and enjoy the fellowship of kindred spirits. Our programs cover a variety of opera-related topics. Spring Hill Art League: The Spring Hill Art League is open to all those interested in the Visual Arts. Our main goal is to encourage and support artists in Hernando County through educational programs for the continued development of their skills and talents. Meetings are held at the United Church of Christ on Mariner Blvd. on the third Monday of the month at 7PM, September through May. Dues are $25.00 (single) and $30.00 (family) and are payable on the 1st of September of each year. Spring Hill Music Club Meets on the 2nd Friday of the month at 1:30 PM from Oct. to April (May meeting is at 7:30 PM) at Fellowship Hall of Grace Presbyterian Church on Spring Hill Dr. They promote the love of music and offer scholarships to worthy recipients.  They also have a CHORUS which meets on Tues Mornings at 10 AM in the Choir Room of the same church.  This organization performs programs for nursing Homes & Hospice etc. Membership dues are $12.50 a year.  For more information call Flora Rowlands, President: 596-1786.
