Art in The Park Nominated to the Top 20 Events In The Southeast
The Hernando County Fine Arts Council's 34th Annual Art in the Park show has been nominated by the Hernando County Tourist Development Council as one of the TOP 20 EVENTS IN THE SOUTHEAST from the SOUTHEAST TOURISM SOCIETY. The event will be held March 10-11, 2018, at beautiful Tom Varn Park in Brooksville, Florida.
Last year’s Art in the Park drew 5,000 attendees and 110 exhibitors. The juried art show awarded $4,000 in prize money as well as a $500 scholarship for student art. The two day event also includes a Kids Zone, local entertainers, food vendors, and lots of wonderful art and crafts for sale.
Since 1985 the Southeast Tourism Society has recognized the unique, diverse and unparalleled events in the region with the Top 20 Events Program. For every month of the year, STS selects 20 events per month which represent the Southeast’s down home flavor through arts and crafts, music, parades, pageantry, food, sporting competitions, live entertainment and much more.
