Art & Ales Live Painting Competition Hosted by Roots Creative Co. and Tidal Brewing Company, this is an immersive live art event featuring five local artists going head-to-head in a 6-hour live painting challenge! Featured Artist Spotlight: Nikki Kline

Meet Nikki Kline! You can find her work at the Hernando Beach Front Porch Art Walk on the first Saturday of each month. Check out her work at the Silver Dolphin Restaurant! Her spooky ceramics are perfect for the season. Nikki was raised in Bucks County, PA where she graduated from Neshaminy High School in Langhorne, began a family, and put herself through college to become a Registered Nurse. |

Nikki raised her family in Quakertown, PA. In 2014, Nikki moved to Florida along with her son to care for her dying Father. After her Father passed, Nikki was hit with the devastating death of her dear son, Dakota, who was killed on his motorcycle. In the years since Dakota's death, Nikki began spending more time doing what she loves…painting, pottery, cooking, gardening, creative writing, and spending time with her family. She has turned her grief into something very therapeutic that she hopes to share with her community one day. In 2023, she released her first cookbook, The Heart of it All. In 2024, she released her first Children's book — a 24-page color illustration of watercolor on canvas titled The Adventures of Lillian. Nikki's vision is to open her art studio, Creativity Cottage. A place where Art therapy is used to help work through all of life's little ups and downs. Whether it be grief, addiction, dementia, learning disabilities, or just a need to escape, Creativity Cottage will be a safe place for discovering the creative process and healing. Gearing up for Art & Ales!Last month, the Hernando County Fine Arts Council’s officers headed to Tidal Brewing Company to start the collaborative beer that will be released for the inaugural Art & Ales event! What a blast! From measuring and washing grains, to petting dogs and sampling beers — we got a behind-the-scenes look at the brewing process. The next step for the Arts Council? Naming this collaborative beer! And the next step for local art lovers? Save the date and join us for this exciting event on November 8! About Art & Ales Hosted by Roots Creative Co. and Tidal Brewing Company, this will be a one-of-a-kind art event and competition — featuring five local artists going head-to-head in a 6-hour painting challenge and competing for $750 in cash prizes.
