Call for Live Entertainment : Art in the Park

We are seeking musicians, live art demonstrations, interactive installations, and other entertainment to perform at the 40th Annual Art in the Park!

Call for Artists : Tangerine Festival

We are partnering with Brooksville Main Street to bring artists to the Tangerine Festival on February 22! The vendor fee is reduced from $95 to $75 for artists only!

Call for Artists : Broad Street Brewing

It’s time to rotate the art and get some fresh creativity on the walls of Broad Street Brewing Co. - and 100% of sales go directly to the artist! The deadline is January 31.

Call for Artists : Marina Rose Contest

Marina Rose Cruises is inviting artists to submit paintings of historic paddle wheel vessels from the last century! Submissions can be dropped off at the Silver Dolphin.

Interested? Drop off artwork before 7 PM on January 29.

Call for Readers : Booksville Festival

The Brooksville Woman’s Club is seeking celebrity readers to read their favorite children’s story to attendees! The book should be no longer than 15 minutes.

FEATURED ARTIST : Parry Donze

Parry founded a screenprinting business 25 years ago in Rockford, Illinois known as Saturn Studio, recently relocating to Brooksville! He has done several local mural projects and most recently was part of the Life Palettes exhibit by the Brooksville Woman's Club.

Introducing the new officers

To ring in the new year, we wanted to introduce the new Hernando County Fine Arts Council officers for 2025 - 2026! They were sworn in at the December meeting, followed by a holiday party at Broad Street Brewing Co. where we celebrated and enjoyed some amazing artwork.

We already know and love them, but let’s give them a huge congratulations!

What else have we been up to?

New Community Arts Grant mural!

Hernando County Utilities commissioned local artist, Beth Warmath of @warmathwalls, to paint a new mural! This project aims to celebrate the Springs our area is known for and bring awareness to the wonderful arts we have here. HCFAC is proud to sponsor this mural through our Community Arts Grant program!

Thank you to all who supported our holiday fundraisers!

We raised over $500 between our Giving Tuesday, Panera Bread, and BJ’s Fundraisers! We are so grateful for the support in our mission to support the arts here in Hernando County. We can not do it without you!

Good news! The BJ's Wholesale Club Fundraiser has been extended. Get your annual membership for the low cost of $20, and $10 will be donated back to the Hernando County Fine Arts Council!!
