Hernando Beach Front Porch Art Walk

What greater Valentine's Day gift than a gift of art! Come and check out the art, buy your gift early for that special day, and make your reservations for Valentine's Day at one of the great restaurants on Hernando Beach. Enjoy live music by Gray Denham at Brian's Place from 11 AM - 2 PM.

What has the Arts Council been up to?

Community Arts Grant Projects

Many local nonprofits are wrapping up their Community Arts Grant projects! Pictured are projects by the Hernando County Library System, African American Club, and Hernando Beach Property Owners Association. The Community Arts Grant program exists to make the arts more accessible here in Hernando County, and we are so proud to support these nonprofits to make it happen!

Precious Things Exhibit

The Precious Things exhibit will be open until April 19! In this exhibit, artists unveil the unsung heroes, the quiet moments, and the unconventional treasures that make their world uniquely theirs. If you weren’t able to make it to opening night, you can check out the exhibit Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 4:30 PM. Thank you to Pedram Moghaddam for curating an excellent show, and to Barry Meindl and Diane Greenwell for the photos!

Wizard of Oz Exhibit

In a new partnership with Stage West Playhouse, we aim to create an intersection of public art and performing arts during their stage productions. During their last production of the Wizard of Oz, viewers enjoyed a display of local artwork that explored the stark contrast between the monochromatic world of Kansas and the magical realm of Oz. We can’t wait for the next one!

GFWC District 12 Art Show

Join us in congratulating Terri Michaud for being selected to represent the GFWC Historic Brooksville Woman's Club in the GFWC District 12 show alongside the work of other local members. Terri also received the “Best in Show” award last year! Congratulations Terri!

Thank you to the GFWC Historic Brooksville Woman's Club for including us again. Council member, Diane Greenwell, was honored to assist with the judging, along with local award-winning artist, Diane Ziemski.
