This month, we are promoting several calls to artists, and have events on both sides of town! Join us for the Front Porch Art Walk in Hernando Beach and the opening reception for the“I” - Identity Exhibit in Brooksville.

LOCAL ART SHOWS

“I” - Identity Exhibit

Join us for a night of visual arts, performance art, and poetry at the opening reception of the "I" - Identity Exhibit at Gallery 201! The theme of this exhibit is self-expression and reflection, so expect to see a collection of self portraits from people of all backgrounds, as well as more abstract interpretations of what "identity" means.

Front Porch Art Walk

Enjoy brunch at one of our hosting restaurants, then check out the Front Porch Art Walk - with more than 20 local artists exhibiting their work. Make a day of it and check out all of the mermaid statues along the Mermaid Tale Trail in Hernando Beach - just stop by the Arts Council's booth for a map!

Mobile Mural Program

Brooksville Main Street invites artists to create an original artwork for the 7th round of the Mobile Mural Program. The theme for this round is "Dreamscapes"

“I” - Identity Exhibit

There are still a few days left to submit your ideas for the “I” - Identity exhibit, opening next Friday! The theme is self-expression and reflection.

Art on Fire

Design proposals are now being considered for the 3rd round of fire hydrants to be painted in the City of Brooksville! Selected artists will be permitted to “adopt” fire hydrants within the corporate and create artistic designs for them.

Front Porch Art Walk

Every second Saturday in Hernando Beach, we showcase the works of 20+ artists at local businesses along Shoal Line Blvd.

We are seeking artists to join us for the next Front Porch Art Walk on Saturday, August 5th from 10 AM - 2 PM! Get your artwork in front of the Hernando Beach community!

Auditions for The Laramie Project

Stage West Playhouse announces open auditions for The Laramie Project, a play by Moises Kaufman and the members of the Tectonic Theater Project. Actors will be asked to prepare two contrasting monologues and may be asked to perform cold reads. Auditions take place July 7 at 7:30 PM and July 8 at 2:00 PM.

Be sure to check out the Florida Native exhibit before it closes next week!

The Florida Native exhibit features artwork that serve as tribute to the Native land we live on, with lots of native plants, animal species, and more conceptual interpretations of the theme. This exhibit will be taken down before July 7 to make way for the upcoming “I” - Identity exhibit!
