State of the Arts Specialty License Plates

As the area's designated arts organization, the Hernando County Fine Arts Council receives $20 from each State of the Arts specialty license plate purchased in Hernando County! Upgrade to a "State of the Arts" tag today for an affordable way to show support for your local arts council and make a direct contribution to our thriving arts community.

Hernando Sun Award Winner

Thanks to our amazing arts community, we were awarded a Silver award for Best Annual Event in the Hernando Sun's Readers Choice for Art In The Park! Thank you so much for the recognition and support.

Be sure to save the date for next year! Art in the Park will take place on March 8 - 9, 2025. It will be our 40th annual event, so we hope to put on an extra exciting show!

Two new members!

Join us in welcoming two new members to the Arts Council, Roxanne Campbell and Dakota Horton!

Roxanne has been a local art teacher for many years, as well as a talented artist who has exhibited at the Hernando Beach Front Porch Art Walk and painted a mermaid on The Mermaid Tale Trail.

Dakota is a local artist with the Creative ArtNest and has contributed to several of our area’s amazing murals. She served as our first intern this spring, giving us a huge amount of support at this year’s Art In The Park event.

We are so happy that two talented artists in the community have joined our team and are so excited to see what we accomplish together

Many of you have asked about local summer camps and classes for kids. Here are a few we know about!
