Hernando Arts April 2025 Wow! March was incredible, with ten new statues unveiled for the Mermaid Tale Trail and another successful Art in the Park event! Up next, we are getting ready for the Congressional Art Competition for high schoolers - but there are tons of other upcoming art events and opportunities for all ages. Meet Steve! Steve is a member of the Shadow Chasers Plein Air group and the Nature Coast Art League. He has been painting his whole life but when he moved to Hernando Beach 11 years ago, he started painting the local scenery daily. Steve works with everything from oil, acrylic, and watercolor, to metal, wood, and anything else that inspires him! Steve has painted many murals throughout Hernando County. You can see some of his murals on our Mural Map! Find Steve at the Hernando Beach Art Walk on the first Saturday of every month. His artwork is also available at the art gallery in the Silver Dolphin Restaurant in Hernando Beach and at Barry's Auto Repair in Weeki Wachee. |

Mermaid Tale Trail UnveilingOver the weekend, Florida's Adventure Coast unveiled ten new mermaid statues for The Mermaid Tale Trail! The Arts Council is a proud partner of this public art project. You can get a digital map or visit the Arts Council's booth at the Hernando Beach Front Porch Art Walk on the first Saturday of each month for a physical map!
