Tour director Jan Knowles, whose love of history and art runs through her very impressive resume. Jan has extensive leadership experience in so many organizations: Hernando Historical Museum, Friends of Chinsegut Hill, Historic Hernando Preservation Society, Brooksville Raid Re-enactment, Hernando Tourism Council, Hernando County Fair Association, Hernando County Fine Arts Council, Brooksville Mural Society, Brooksville Cemetery, Rails to Trails, and Main Street program. Oh, and in her spare time, Jan co-chairs the Hernando County Fine Arts Council’s annual signature event—Art in the Park festival! It’s no wonder that Jan was lauded for her volunteer service when she was named Great Brooksvillian in 2014.
