Call to Brooksville Artists : Margaret Ghiotto Beautification Award Sign Design Contest

Project Description: The City of Brooksville Parks & Recreation Beautification Board is holding a sign design contest for the new Margaret Ghiotto Beautification Award! This award honors the enduring spirit of Margaret Ghiotto and her passion for community beautification. The Beautification Board presents the Margaret Ghiotto Beautification Award to individuals, homes, or businesses that significantly improve the visual appeal of their property. Submit your original 18"x24" sign design by October 1, 2025 for a chance to have your artwork displayed citywide and recognized by City Council!
Details: This competition is open to all City of Brooksville residents! Designs must fit an 18" x 24" metal realtor-style sign. Artists can design up to two signs - one for the commercial award and one for the residential award.
The sign MUST include:
“Margaret Ghiotto Beautification Award”
“Presented by the City of Brooksville Beautification Board”
The official City of Brooksville logo (which will be provided) via email
Designs should reflect the spirit of beautification, community pride, and Margaret Ghiotto’s legacy. Keep the design clear and visible from a distance.
Winning artwork will be featured on the official award sign throughout the city and recognized at a City Council meeting.
Important Dates:
The deadline to submit is October 1, 2025
Winners will be chosen at a special meeting on October 14, 2025.
