Grant : Community Arts Grant application now open

The 2024 Community Arts Grant application now open to all eligible nonprofit organizations in Hernando County!

Nonprofits interested in projects like public art installations (murals, sculptures, etc.), art-focused events or performances, or art instruction are encouraged to apply.

The maximum grant request is $1,000. The CAG grant program is reimbursement-based, meaning you must be able to pay for your project’s expenses and receive reimbursement after submitting a final report and paid receipts.

Important Dates :

  • September 28, 2023 — Pre-application workshop from 5:30 - 7 PM at the Arts Council office (300 S Main St.. in Brooksville). This is a voluntary workshop for applicants to ask questions and receive feedback on application prior to submittal.

  • October 6, 2023 — 9 p.m. Application deadline 

  • October 26, 2023 — Grant review workshop from 5:30 PM - 7 PM at Brooksville City Hall (201 Howell Ave. in Brooksville). This is a mandatory workshop for applicants to respond to questions by the project review team pertaining to application.

  • November 9, 2023 — Grants and award amounts selected at the HCFAC meeting

  • December 1, 2023 — Awardees notified via email

  • January 1, 2024 - Dec. 31, 2024 — Project period 

  • January 20, 2025 — Invoicing deadline for 2024 projects
