Call to Artists: “I” - Identity Exhibit

Business or Organization Name: The Brooksville Art Gallery 201

Project Description: Gallery 201 at the Brooksville City Hall would be pleased to have you submit 3 pieces of your artwork created as a reflection of the self. A free form Self Portrait, or “I” - Identity. This theme can have many approaches and it will be exciting to see the artwork associated with self-identity and reflection. Name your work after the inspiration. For example, you may be a figurative artist but you could incorporate stylistic elements, preferred techniques, or clues which can clearly identify your work. This can be a self portrait and may tie in relationships.

Details :

  • ALL mediums are welcome, including 3-d, glass, and digital art. Display cases available to display items such as jewelry, fine glass, or sculpture.

  • All 2-D artwork must be gallery ready to hang, with a wire securely attached to the back.

  • Two sets of display cards are required per piece - one for the back of the piece for identification, and one to be displayed. Information on the display cards include: title of piece, medium, artist, and price. If the piece is not for sale, then print “NFS”.

  • Student work is welcome.

Important Deadlines:

  • The artwork must be submitted by July 7, 2023 (deadline for submissions), between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM.

  • The pick-up/dropoff date: June 30, 2023 - July 7, 2023

  • The opening reception will be on Friday July 14, 2023 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Music and refreshments will be provided
