Project Description: The SEN Task Force invites artists in Hernando County to create a wall art piece depicting a positive message on “Substance Exposed Newborns” for their art contest. This is a voluntary contest and anyone interested in art is invited to participate

Artworks will be judged at the Education & Beyond: Supporting Substance Exposed Newborn Communities Conference in October. Five winners will receive $100.00, as well as a gold plaque on their wall art with their names identifying the art. Winners will also have their artwork duplicated into framed pictures that can be distributed throughout county doctor offices, agencies, etc. for wall hanging.

  • Drop off your submissions at either location before September 25 :

  • Please keep words to a minimum.

  • Media: Charcoal, pastels, acrylic, oil, crayon, water color, pen & ink, photography, graphics

  • Size: Minimum: 12” x15” Maximum: 18” x 24”

  • All submissions must be made without matting. No names on front of art. Please write, name, email and telephone number on the back of the artwork.

Important Dates:

  • Deadline : September 25, 2023

  • Judging : October 6, 2023 (at the Education & Beyond: Supporting Substance Exposed Newborn Communities Conference)
