Details : On April 19, 2024 - April 26, 2024, Gallery 201 at the Brooksville City Hall would be pleased to have you submit 3 pieces of your artwork and surprise Brooksville and the world with content and concepts that go beyond what we typically think of with regard to “Shades of Purple”

Each shade of purple shares a unique story of this color. Purple is a beautiful color that combines the high energy of red with the stability of blue, leaving a shade that is known to evoke emotions on each and every level. Light lavender leaves many in an ethereal mindset, while royal purple gives a deep richness known to deliver feelings of power and pride. Join us in a show inspired by this beloved color, leaving the gallery draped in purple hues of inspiration and creativity.

The artwork images must be submitted for approval prior to arrival at the Gallery. Submit your proposals to cityart@cityofbrooksville.us.

  • ALL mediums are welcome, including 3-d, glass, and digital art. Display cases are available to display items such as jewelry, fine glass, or sculpture.

  • All 2-D artwork must be gallery ready to hang, with a wire securely attached to the back.

  • 2 sets of display cards per piece, one for the back of the piece for identification and one to be displayed. Information on the display cards include: title of piece, medium, artist, and price. If the piece is not for sale, then print “NFS”.

  • Student work is welcome.

Important Dates:

  • Proposal deadline is April 19

  • Drop off period is April 19 - April 26 from 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM at Brooksville City Hall

  • Drop off deadline is April 26 at 2:30 PM

  • Reception: Friday May 10 from 6 PM to 8 PM

  • Duration: May 10 - August 2, 2024
