The Hernando County Fine Arts Council is thrilled to announce that artist applications are now open for the 39th Annual Art in the Park happening on March 9 and 10, 2024, at Tom Varn Park in Brooksville, Florida. This highly anticipated art extravaganza is set to take place in the heart of our community and promises to be an exceptional showcase of creativity and talent.

Artists from across the region are invited to participate and share their unique perspectives, styles, and mediums with a diverse and appreciative audience. Artists interested in participating in this prestigious event can submit their applications through the official Hernando County Fine Arts Council website: www.hernandoarts.org/art-in-the-park.

"For nearly four decades, Art in the Park has become a cherished tradition in Hernando County, embodying the spirit of creativity and community. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning artists to this year's event and to celebrating artistic expression in all its forms,” stated Allisa Babor, the Chair of the Hernando County Fine Arts Council.

Participating in Art in the Park provides artists with an unparalleled opportunity to showcase their work, connect with fellow creators, and engage with art enthusiasts. The event attracts a diverse audience, from collectors to families looking to experience the world of art in a vibrant and accessible setting. We are pleased to offer a total of $6,500 in prize money to artists who are competing in the show.
